This project, located on a 79-acre site in Marin County, integrates architecture and landscape into a harmonious whole. The clients stated that the project should be developed as organic architecture; including active and passive solar energy systems, and permaculture concepts to connect the building to the landscape. The scope of the project includes the subdivision of the site into two lots, masterplanning of both parcels, the design of a single-family residence, agricultural barn, and a pediatric clinic. Landscape strategies will heal the damage created by previous structures and roadways that disrupt the natural ecosystems.
